Start of school day procedures

Children should not be on school grounds prior to 8.30am unless accompanied by an adult, as staff are only duty from this time. If you require your child to be in school any earlier, then they will need to be booked into Breakfast Club.

If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015 it is now time to think about your application for a primary school place. Applications for the admissions process are online via the Bexley website. If you are applying to St Thomas More, as a Church school (VA), applications should be supported by your Supplementary Information Form which needs to be completed by parents, parish priest/minister and returned to the school. Applications forms must be Bexley by 15th January.

For more information please see the page on the left hand side titled Prospective Parents.

There is no automatic entry for siblings, all applications are categorised using the admissions criteria.

If you have any queries you MUST ask.

Our Mission Statement

Do more, be more, for yourself, for others and for God.

At the centre of the school is love, a love of learning, service and improvement.  With Jesus Christ as our teacher, we work to serve, contributing through education, to the wider community, to our parishes and our world.  Christ has no hands or feet on earth but ours; we are His servants.  By doing more and being more we recognise that it is through education that we can achieve our goals.

At St Thomas More we aim to develop learners who:

Are faithful to God
Understand that they have a role in God's world
Are independent learners
Have high expectations of themselves
Working alongside the parishes and parents, children will leave St Thomas More
educated, confident and inspired.

We are a friendly, caring, and successful catholic school, serving the two parishes of St Thomas More & St John Vianney in Bexleyheath. We are in the London Borough of Bexley, in the Diocese of Southwark.
