Prayers
In our school we have three prayers that we recite together daily during our class Act of Worship sessions. We also have Collective Worship three times a week as a whole school during assembly time where we pray using the Five Finger Prayer.
These prayers are;
Morning Offering
Father in heaven I give you today, all that I think and do and say.
I give you the good times as well as the bad, the time when I’m happy the times when I’m sad.
Fill me with grace and make me strong, with you at my side I won’t go wrong.
Amen
Lunch Prayer
Bless us oh Lord as we sit together.
Bless the food we eat today.
Bless the hands that made the food.
Bless us Oh Lord.
Amen
Hometime Prayer
God our Father, I have come to say, thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family and all the friends you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning send your light.
Amen
Prayer Book
Each class has a prayer book in their classroom. In KS1 the children also have a prayer bear that accompanies the prayer book. Each week the child in the class that receives a Growth Mindset Award in the Achievement assembly will also take home the prayer book.
Please take time with your child to write their prayers as they are returned to school the following Monday and are shared in our class Act of Worship.
